DIAGNOSTIC UPPER GI ENDOSCOPY
Endoscopy is a process performed to view the gastrointestinal tract using a thin, flexible tube with a camera at the end usually called an endoscope. This endoscope is passed through the mouth down the esophagus then into the stomach. The camera takes pictures during this process also a small tissue for sample is collected for further tests.
In upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, the esophagus, stomach, and first part of small intestines called duodenum are viewed by the endoscope. And in the Colonoscopy, the inner lining of the large intestine, colon, and rectum can be viewed.

It is also usually used to identify the causes of some symptoms like.1.Abdominal pain or chest pain,2.Nausea and Vomiting,3.Burning sensation in the hea,4.Bleeding and swallowing problems.
There are also some abnormalities that also can be treated by upper GI endoscopy. Such as growth of tissues in the stomach or Polyps, Narrowing of esophagus or duodenum, bleeding due to different reasons like ulcers or cancer can be treated.
